This weekend we came home to Mobile. We are having such a wonderful weekend. Mrs. Patricia, Chris's mom, cooked us pancakes this morning and we got to have breakfast as a family. I have really missed being able to wake up with Chris and have breakfast. Because of our conflicting schedules, most days he wakes up and leaves for PT and by the time he gets back I am leaving for school. We pretty much high five each other and head out the door. Yesterday I did not have to go to work so early and we were actually able to sit and talk and have breakfast together. In my family, Saturday mornings were always pancake days. We had pancakes most Saturdays that I can remember - even slumber party mornings. Chris's family also stil has breakfast together most Saturdays and Sundays. So, breakfast is a valuable meal time for us. As I get older, I am beginning to see why it is so important and not just for replenishing your body. It was refreshing to be able to talk to each other before anything happened in our day. So - to our parents, if you are reading this, thank you for making breakfast a meaningful meal for us. We're trying to continue that in our family now. Have a good weekend and if you have time, have breakfast with someone!

It's really great to hear your children understand what we were doing! Thanks for telling us - it is very encouraging to your dad and me. But...sweetheart...warn us when you put any "Rolling Pin" stories online. We are an open book, but just warn us. ;o) We are very proud of your blog! Love you, Mom and Dad
